According to Rotten Tomatoes, Rookie of the Year (Rated PG), is a light-hearted comedy about a 12-year-old baseball fan who, despite his love for the sport, can't play the game at all. During one Little League contest, he breaks his arm. After it heals, it miraculously becomes a super-human arm that can out-pitch any player in the major leagues. The boy joins the Chicago Cubs and helps lead them to the World Series. Though the plot is silly and contrived, it's a pleasant film that is ideal for young sports fans.

More Safety And Other Information For The Event:
  • All cars will be socially distanced as per NJ State Executive Order 142.
  • Patrons must stay in their vehicles at all times as per NJ State Executive Order 142 with only the exception being to use the restroom (The Somerset Patriots will have 2 Porta Johns in the lot provided by P&W Services for emergency use and there will be an attendant to service it.  We do encourage you to bring your own sanitizing wipes or hand sanitizer as well).
  • Cars will be allowed to open their windows, and we will permit people to sit in the bed of pick-up trucks or in the back of vehicles with a hatch back.
  • We will also ask that patrons not set up chairs outside of their vehicles during the show and if your hatchback blocks the view of other patrons, we reserve the right to ask it to be closed.  For everyone’s optimal viewing, we will also not allow people to sit on top of car roofs.
  • Cars will be directed into parking spots by a Patriots Staff Member, please wear a mask when pulling into the lot and our staff will also have masks when communicating from a safe distance.
  • If you have a sedan or smaller car and can bring that, it would be best for everyone’s viewing abilities.  If you have a larger SUV, or pickup truck, we reserve the right to park those larger vehicles towards the back of the lot regardless of your arrival time.
  • At the end of the movie, we will turn on the lights in the parking lot and we ask that you carefully make your way out of the parking lot.
  • Movie sound will be available via an FM Frequency that can be run off your car radio.  Generally that radio station is 102.3 FM.  If your car battery will not allow your radio to stay on for the duration of the movie, we recommend bringing a battery powered FM Radio to use in your vehicle.  There are several stores that they are sold in such as Target, Best Buy, Walmart, and Home Depot, all of which are in Bridgewater.
  • Car engines must also be off for the duration of the show, unless you need to start it briefly to restart your car radio.
  • All vehicles must be able to turn your lights fully off in your vehicle for the entire show.  This includes daytime running lights, so please make sure you know how to do that prior to your arrival at TD Bank Ballpark.
  • The preferred method of showing your tickets upon arrival is by downloading the Somerset Patriots Mobile app.  From within the app, you can go into the Tickets Section, and log into your ticket account to show your tickets for your event.
  • If you have any questions before or during the event, please text us at: 908-252-0700
