Bridgewater, NJ- The Somerset Patriots have teamed up with the New Jersey Psychological Association Foundation to host Mental Health Awareness Night at TD Bank Ballpark on Saturday, May 27th during the home game against the Bridgeport Bluefish. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m., with gates opening at 6:00 p.m. The game will feature a spectacular fireworks show immediately after the game as the unofficial kickoff to the summer!
“We are very excited to partner with the Patriots for a fun night at the ballpark for everyone,” said Matt Hagovsky, President of the NJPA Foundation. “Our mission as the philanthropic arm of the NJPA is to raise money to support programs that promote the psychological health of people in our community. By hosting a Mental Health Awareness Night at a Somerset Patriots game, we will provide members of our association, their friends and families, and our entire community the opportunity to enjoy a fun and relaxing night out while learning more about our organization, psychology as a profession and the importance of mental health.”
NJPA Foundation President Matt Hagovsky will briefly address the crowd before the game to raise awareness about mental health. NJPA members and their families will also have the opportunity to participate in on-field promotions in-between innings, lead the crowd in the singing of “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” during the seventh inning stretch and possibly throw out a first pitch.
Sustaining members of NJPA and their families will also have the chance for a private meet-and-greet with former New York Yankees Cy Young Award Winner and current Patriots Manager Emeritus Sparky Lyle before the game.
Discounted tickets can be purchased directly through NJPA, with 100% of the proceeds going toward the Foundation and the programs it offers. For more information and to purchase discounted tickets, visit the NJPA website by CLICKING HERE.
