Jeff Baisley, Lou Montanez, and Mike Wilson signed for 2013
Bridgewater, NJ- The Five-Time Atlantic League Champion Somerset Patriots have announced the signings of outfielders Jeff Baisley, Luis Montanez, and Mike Wilson.
Baisley has Major League experience with the Oakland A’s during the 2008 season, when he appeared in 14 games for the team and hit .256 with 11 hits and five RBI.
Baisley also has four seasons of Triple-A experience for the A’s, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim,

Bridgewater, NJ – The Five-Time Atlantic League Champion Somerset Patriots are looking for individuals interested in performing as team mascot Sparkee and his pal Slider for community appearances and games during the 2013 season.
The Patriots are looking for
creative, energetic and talented performers to fill the roles of these
characters. The mascots responsibilities include performing at games,
representing the team in the community and at various off-site functions,
fan-friendly interaction with children and adults, and other duties assigned by
Patriots management.

Somerset's longtime manager has moved into a new role after 15 years and five Atlantic League championships.
Bridgewater, NJ – Sparky Lyle, the Somerset Patriots manager since the team began play in the Atlantic League in 1998, has stepped down from his position and has become the team’s manager emeritus.
“It’s been a great 15 years. I’d like to thank Steve Kalafer, the Somerset Patriots, and all of our fans. I’m proud of everything we’ve accomplished together during this time,” Lyle said.
In January of 1997, Lyle was the first employee hired by the team. Despite no prior coaching or managing experience, Patriots chairman Steve Kalafer saw something special in Lyle, who had been out of baseball since

Bridgewater, NJ- The Five-Time Atlantic League Champion Somerset Patriots and Sparky Lyle have announced that they will host their annual Holiday Toy Drive at TD Bank Ballpark on Saturday, December 8th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Fans will be able to bring unwrapped toys to the Somerset Patriots Team Store located at the ballpark throughout the day. All toys will be donated to Foster Adoptive Family Services of New Jersey for those less fortunate.
Lyle will be at the event to meet fans, sign autographs, and take pictures from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Bridgewater, NJ – The Five-Time Atlantic League Champion Somerset Patriots have placed 2013 Mini Plans on sale for the team’s upcoming season.
This year the Somerset Patriots are offering two different Mini Plans. The top selling Fireworks Plan and a Pick Your Own plan, that provides ultimate flexibility, are now available for 2013, the 15th Season Anniversary of TD Bank Ballpark. Somerset Patriots Mini Plans, which consist of 12 games each, are $150 a seat for Premium Field Box, $114 a seat for Field Box tickets, and $102 a seat for Upper Box tickets.
