Bridgewater, NJ- The Five-Time Atlantic League Champion Somerset Patriots have announced that they have partnered with Rutgers Against Hunger (RAH) to host a canned food drive during their game on Tuesday, May 28th at TD Bank Ballpark.  First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm against the Lancaster Barnstormers.

 

Rutgers Against Hunger is hosting Strike Out Hunger, a baseball-themed drive, to collect non-perishable food items from members of the Somerset Patriots and Rutgers community.

Kalafer Honored With HBO And Robert DeNiro

The three received the Actors Fund Medal Of Honor


New York, NY- Somerset Patriots Chairman Steve Kalafer was recently honored alongside HBO and Academy Award winning actor Robert DeNiro by The Actors Fund.

 

Kalafer, HBO, and DeNiro received the Medal of Honor, the highest award given from the 131-year old non-profit human services organization.

 

The annual gala, held at the New York Marriott Marquis on Monday, April 29th, raised a record-breaking $1.4 million as 750 guests gathered to pay tribute to the three honorees.

Patriots To Host Teacher Of The Year Nights

Team to honor Somerset, Hunterdon, Middlesex, and Union County teachers


Bridgewater, NJ – The Five-Time Atlantic League Champion Somerset Patriots will host special nights to recognize the Hunterdon, Union, Middlesex, and Somerset County schools’ Teachers of the Year.

 

The Patriots have invited Teachers of the Year from each school in the counties to attend a Teacher Appreciation Night at TD Bank Ballpark. The Patriots will recognize the teachers on the field in a pre-game ceremony beginning at approximately 6:40 pm on each county’s respective night.

Patriots Name 2013 Kid CEO

Mark Monaco of Clinton hired for position



Bridgewater, NJ- The Somerset Patriots and Mack Staffing have named Mark Monaco of Clinton, NJ as the 2013 Somerset Patriots Kid CEO.

 

The announcement was made at the Saturday, May 4th game at TD Bank Ballpark. The five finalists, selected from interviews conducted at the team’s Fan Fest before the season, addressed the crowd before the game on why they should be selected as the Kid CEO.

Bridgewater Baseball & Softball To Raise Money For Boston Victim At Ballpark

Special patches will be on sale at 5/3 game



Bridgewater, NJ- The Five-Time Atlantic League Champion Somerset Patriots have announced that they have teamed up with Bridgewater Baseball and Softball to host a league wide event and fundraiser at TD Bank Ballpark for their game on Friday, May 3rd against the Bridgeport Bluefish.  First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm.

 

Throughout the game on the main concourse, Bridgewater Baseball and Softball will have a table set up to help raise money for Boston bombing victim, eight-year-old Martin Richard.  Martin was one of three people killed in the attack that also injured over 180 citizens.

Patriots help raise money for fight against autism

Bridgewater, NJ- The Five-Time Atlantic League Champion Somerset Patriots recently partnered with Bethel Ridge and Brain Balance Centers to host Autism Awareness Day at TD Bank Ballpark.  The event took place on Sunday, April 21st when the Patriots took on the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs.  The Patriots went on to defeat the Blue Crabs 12-2.
