Somerset Patriots Land Right-Handed Pitcher Bryce Morrow

Former Padres Farmhand Brought In To Bolster Staff

Bridgewater, NJ- The Somerset Patriots have announced the signing of right-handed pitcher Bryce Morrow.

Morrow enters his first season with the Somerset Patriots and first in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. Earlier this season, the righty made nine starts for Double-A San Antonio of the San Diego Padres organization.

The Grand Rapids, Michigan native spent the first three years of his professional career in the Frontier League before signing with the Padres in 2013. He has spent the past four seasons in their organization, including six starts for Triple-A El Paso last year.

Bridgewater, NJ – The New Britain Bees (33-33) defeated the Somerset Patriots (36-31) 8-7 at TD Bank Ballpark on Thursday evening.

Bridgewater, NJ – The New Britain Bees (31-33) defeated the Somerset Patriots (36-29) 3-0 in a rain-shoned game at TD Bank Ballpark on Tuesday evening.


The Bees took the 3-0 lead in the fourth inning on a bases clearing triple by Michael Crouse.

Oliver returns for his second season with the Somerset Patriots and second in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. The righty made five starts for Reynosa of the Mexican League to begin the 2016 season.
