Bridgewater, NJ – Tonight the Somerset Patriots (22-10) host the Long Island Ducks (18-14) for the third game of a four game series featuring these Liberty Division foes. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. from TD Bank Ballpark. Somerset leads the all-time series 145-142 as these two New York and New Jersey squads have been rivals since 2000. This is a rematch of the 2013 Atlantic League Championship Series. The first two games of this set have been split and each contest was decided by one run.

Patriots Shut Out Ducks 1-0


Bridgewater, NJ – The Somerset Patriots (22-10) shutout the Long Island Ducks (18-14) 1-0 in 12 innings Thursday evening from TD Bank Ballpark. Left fielder Aharon Eggleston spanked a walk-off RBI single to plate center fielder Jonny Tucker as the Patriots won for the fifth time in walk-off fashion. Tucker drew a leadoff walk and would steal second base to get in scoring position.

 

Daniel Sattler earned the win (2-0) as he struck out the side in the top of the 12th inning. Amalio Diaz sustained the loss (0-1).

May 27th Tickets Redeemable For Tonight, Friday's Games

Fans Can Redeem Tickets At Ballpark Box Office


Bridgewater, NJ – The Somerset Patriots have announced that due to last night’s rain delay, fans who had tickets/ vouchers from Wednesday, May 27th’s game can redeem them for tickets to tonight and tomorrow nights’ games against the Long Island Ducks.

 

Fans can redeem their tickets and vouchers at the TD Bank Ballpark Box Office in person, prior to the game. First pitch for both games is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

 

Tonight marks Greek Heritage Night at the ballpark, with the Patriots celebrating Greek culture through traditional dance

Able To Pull Out Win After Patriots Comeback


Bridgewater, NJ – The Long Island Ducks (18-13) defeated the Somerset Patriots (21-10) 7-6 Wednesday evening from TD Bank Ballpark. The game was delayed 53 minutes at the start due to rain.

 

In the top of the first inning center fielder Lew Ford hit a RBI groundout to give Long Island a 1-0 advantage.

 

Long Island plated a pair of runs in the top of the fourth inning to increase its lead to 3-0. First baseman Jon Griffin clubbed a RBI double while catcher Jose Morales recorded

Somerset Patriots To Host Air Force Recruit Swear-In Ceremony

Approximately 40 Local Recruits To Be Sworn-In


Bridgewater, NJ- The Somerset Patriots have partnered with the Air Force Recruiting Office of East Brunswick to host a Swear-In Ceremony for Air Force recruits before the Thursday, May 28th game at TD Bank Ballpark.

 

Approximately 40 local Air Force recruits and their families will be guests of the Somerset Patriots at the ballpark that night.

 

At approximately 6:30 pm, the recruits will be taking their Oath of Enlistment down on the field, meaning they are committing to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America.

Patriots To Support Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Double Header

Team Up With Operation Shoebox NJ and NJABL


BOUND BROOK, NJ – The Somerset Patriots have teamed up with Operation Shoebox New Jersey to sponsor The Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball team’s doubleheader against an All-Star team from the New Jersey Amateur Baseball League on Saturday, May 30.

           

The all-day benefit will be at Billian Field, 544 East Union Ave., Bound Brook. There will be two games at 1 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. Admission is free.

Revolution Edge Patriots 5-4

Salvage Series Finale


York, PA – The York Revolution (11-19) salvaged the series finale against the Somerset Patriots (21-9) by winning 5-4 Monday evening from Santander Stadium. The Patriots snapped their four game winning streak while the Revolution ended their six game losing streak.

 

In the bottom of the first inning third baseman Bryan Pounds and first baseman Andres Perez each slapped RBI singles to give York a 2-0 advantage.

 

Shortstop Wilson Valdez recorded a RBI fielder’s choice in the bottom of the second inning as the Revolution expanded its lead

Patriots Win 9-5 Over York

Somerset Takes 5th Straight Series


York, PA – The Somerset Patriots (21-8) defeated the York Revolution (10-19) 9-5 Sunday evening from Santander Stadium. With the victory Somerset won its fifth straight series.

 

In the bottom of the first inning second baseman Eric Patterson recorded a RBI groundout to give York a 1-0 advantage.

 

York plated a pair of runs in the bottom of the second inning to expand their lead to 3-0. Catcher Luis De La Cruz and right fielder Willie Cabrera each socked RBI doubles.

 

Mickey Storey Signed By LA Dodgers

Will Report To Double-A


Bridgewater, NJ- Somerset Patriots ace right-handed pitcher Mickey Storey has had his contract purchased by the Los Angeles Dodgers organization and will report to Double-A.

 

Storey was the Atlantic League’s leading pitcher this season with a 4-0 ERA, a 0.93 ERA, and 23 strikeouts in 29.0 innings pitched in five games started. He also had a complete game shutout and an opposing batting average of .106 against him.

Pitcher Brett Brach Signed

Freehold Native Back With Somerset


Bridgewater, NJ- Somerset Patriots have signed right-handed pitcher Brett Brach and activated him for Saturday night’s game against the York Revolution.

 

Brach appeared in one game for Somerset in 2014 before signing with the Washington Nationals organization. In his one start with the Patriots, he picked up the win, allowing just two hits in five scoreless innings pitched. 

 

Before his time in Somerset, the Freehold, New Jersey native had time in the Cleveland Indians organization, reaching the Triple-A level in three seasons.
