Sunday's Game Postponed

Double header on June 25th at 5:05 pm


Bridgewater, NJ- The Somerset Patriots game against the Camden Riversharks scheduled for Sunday afternoon has been postponed due to rain.


The game will be made up as part of a double header on Tuesday, June 25th at 5:05 pm. The double header will be two seven-inning games.

 

Fans with tickets to Sunday’s game can redeem them for a future home game this season by stopping by the Patriots Ticket Office located at TD Bank Ballpark.

Patriots Power Past Riversharks 11-4

Corey Smith homers in drives in three


Bridgewater, NJ- The Somerset Patriots defeated the Camden Riversharks 11-4 in front of 7,007 fans at TD Bank Ballpark on Friday evening.

 

The Riversharks scored first in the second inning on back-to-back homeruns by Chris Walker (1) and Juan Martinez (1) for the 2-0 lead.

 

Camden added to their lead the following inning on an RBI single by Walker to make the score 3-0.

Patriots Rally For 8-5 Win Over Blue Crabs

Bridgewater, NJ- The Somerset Patriots defeated the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs 8-5 at TD Bank Ballpark on Thursday evening.

 

The Blue Crabs scored in the first to take an early lead on an RBI single by Ryan Mulhern and an RBI double by Cyle Hankerd to make the score 3-0.

Patriots Top Blue Crabs 7-4

Martinez-Esteve drives in three to lead the way


Bridgewater, NJ- The Somerset Patriots defeated the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs 7-4 at TD Bank Ballpark on Wednesday evening.

 

Somerset broke a scoreless tie in the bottom half of the fourth inning.  Corey Smith got the rally stad with an RBI double to left-center, Eddy Martinez-Esteve followed with an RBI base hit, and Bobby Stevens was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to bring home the final run for the 3-0 lead.

Wilson And Arnesen Signed By Major League Organizations

Both contracts purchased to join MLB organizations


Bridgewater, NJ – The Five-Time Atlantic League Champion Somerset Patriots have announced that the contracts for outfielder Mike Wilson and right-handed pitcher Erik Arnesen have been purchased by Major League organizations.


Wilson will join the San Diego Padres organization at the Triple-A level. He was batting .325 with 27 hits, five doubles, a triple, three homeruns, and 18 RBI in 23 games for the Patriots this season before being signed.

Yunesky Sanchez Named Atlantic League Player of the Month For April

Sanchez led the league before signing to play in Mexico


Bridgewater, NJ- The Somerset Patriots have announced that former shortstop Yunesky Sanchez has been named the Atlantic League Player of the Month for April.

 

Sanchez was leading the league with a .381 batting average, 16 hits, five home runs, and 15 RBI in ten games during the month before signing to play for Oaxaca of the Mexican Leagues.

 

Sanchez hit .274 with 84 hits, 14 doubles, seven homeruns, and 38 RBI in 77 games played in Somerset last season.

Blue Crabs Rally In 9th For 4-3 Win

Score 3 runs in the 9th for win


Bridgewater, NJ- The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs defeated the Somerset Patriots 4-3 at TD Bank Ballpark on Tuesday evening.

 

The Blue Crabs rallied for three runs in the ninth on RBI hits by Cyle Hankerd and Brandon Jones and an RBI fielder’s choice by Alvin Colina to regain the lead and make the score 4-3.

Bridgewater, NJ- The Somerset Patriots have announced that the 1960’s Batmobile will be on display during Ballpark Comic Con on Saturday, May 18th at TD Bank Ballpark beginning at 4:00 pm and lasting through that evening’s game against the Camden Riversharks at 7:05 pm.
